Our favourite interpretation of the trend was brought forth by the label Soup by Sougat Paul for his Pernia’s Pop-Up Runway collection, wherein we saw a solemn new-age inspired florals accents clubbed with geometric patterns in multi-coloured hues. A sustainable brand, Silkwaves used ingenious hand block printing to create linear patterns in a monochromatic colour palette to design their summer collection.
Geometric patterns get all bold and frivolous for Papa Don’t Preach . Leheriya stripes and chevron prints are rendered with OTT textures and embellishments for a futuristic flair. While Platform 9 is garnering a fanbase by pairing polka dots with stripes and checks, Latha Puttana decided to give it an ethereal touch interpreting geometry through see-through self-design on wispy handwoven fabrics.
