Armed with a glamorous spell to cast over your summer wardrobe, the designer presented her latest collection at Pernia’s Pop-Up Studio in Bandra on the 11th of April. The event was graced by actresses Kritika Kamra, Soundarya Sharma and blogger Shrima Rai who came in flaunting chic styles from the collection. The trendsetting collection of cape style lehengas, dhoti draped skirts, pantsuits teamed with bustiers, shift dresses and a range of cutting edge styles was dipped in a summery colour palette of yellow, blushes and neutrals for a vivacious appeal.
Speaking of her inspiration behind the collection Anjali said, “The western silhouettes narrate the beauty of wildlife and nature. We have incorporated embellished animal motifs like horses, owls, beehives and summer fruits like mangoes and pineapples. The ensembles are easy to slip in for any occasion whether you’re heading for a weekend brunch or cocktail soirees. When it comes to distinguishing a wearer in the crowd, motifs of our handcrafted embroideries play the key role. We put in a lot of thought on our workmanship and art”. For the summer season, the designer urges fashionistas to experiment with stylized pants, culottes and co-ordinates. For the wedding season, lehengas with statement blouses and cocktail sarees are failsafe yet fashion-forward for every woman to nail her appearance.
