Jenna Ortega Goes All-In on Goth Glam for Wednesday Promo

Netflix’s stellar series Wednesday has set the international stage ablaze, showcasing a masterful blend of narrative innovation and visual artistry that captivates its audience. As we transition into Season 2, Gen Z’s favourite goth, Jenna Ortega, is making waves in goth styles that are modern, polished and perfect to step in with high fashion.

On her press tour for Tim Burton’s Wednesday, Jenna Ortega has taken method dressing for a spin, drawing from the Addams family’s macabre spirit. She has been a striking exemplar of a vampiric, gothic aesthetic, carrying her character, Wednesday Addams, from screen to red carpet.

Letting a gothic edge seep into every look, Ortega has stepped out in some of the sharpest designs, amalgamating dark romanticism with gothic flair. With bleached brows, smoky eyes, dark-lined lips, and all-black ensembles that feel like intentional extensions of her role, Ortega has fully stepped into the gothic renaissance. Here’s a look at the star’s most nuanced looks from the Wednesday Season 2 promotional tour.

The star stole the spotlight in London, first rocking a daring Givenchy FW25 look by Sarah Burton – think black leather cone bra, oversized gloves, and a sharp wool pencil skirt with towering platforms. For the world premiere of Wednesday, she amped up the drama in Ashi Studio’s serpentine latex gown, a snakeskin-printed, pale-yellow masterpiece with frayed edges and a sheer mermaid finish, topped off with Rainbow K jewels and a bold plum lip.

At Good Morning America in New York, she served power dressing in a tailored grey-and-black Willy Chavarria skirt suit, topped with a wide-brimmed hat and Louboutins. Later, on Late Night with Seth Meyers, she switched gears into a custom Elena Velez silk corseted dress in soft cream, styled with gold mesh heels and bleached brows that added a gothic edge.

In Sydney, the Wednesday star turned heads in a striking black-and-white Valentino shearling coat, teamed with lace-up patent leather knee-high boots. At a fan event, she lit up the stage in a bold orange-and-black striped Fendi dress, finished with metal-detailed Louboutin boots and Rainbow K jewels.

At a fan screening in Paris, she leaned into full gothic glamour with an Ann Demeulemeester satin slip dress, detailed with leather trims and paired with lace-up knee-high boots. Later, for the launch of Le Beach Club de Mercredi, she flipped the script in a pirate-inspired Vivienne Westwood gown – chocolate brown with a plunging corset bodice and ruffled detailing – styled with a bold Loree Rodkin cross necklace.

During a press stop in Seoul, the star gleamed in a hauntingly illustrated green bodysuit tucked into a tweed and tulle layered midi skirt by Simone Rocha. She accessorised with a padlocked chain belt and patent-leather Mary Jane shoes.

From gothic glamour to theatrical couture, Jenna Ortega is crafting a fashion narrative as magnetic as her on-screen persona – and we can’t wait to see what she pulls off next.
