His fresh new Spring/Summer ‘21 collection!
‘Timelessness’, the couturier’s new drop, is “An artistic symphony of fine craftsmanship and finesse to cherish one’s special moments, the collection reflects the new mood, of a calmer more personal space.”
Tarun Tahiliani has been known for the way he plays with unique elements to create timeless pieces. Light and dark, structure and fluidity, the designer strikes the perfect balance in his garments to create stunning looks to appeal to the modern aesthetic of Indian fashion. The collection features bridal, trousseau and looks for the wedding party, crafted in fine tulle, silk and banarasi brocade fabrics.
With playful pastels, metallic tones and vintage red hues, the Spring-Summer drop features the perfect bridal outfits. The beautiful lehengas are adorned with zardosi, kundan and Swarovski crystal embroidery as well as jamawar and floral prints. We also get to see Persian Jaali inspired laser cut embroidery in the collection. It is further highlighted with kasab and kundan work.
The collection also displays gilet jackets and concept sarees that add a fun element to traditional Indian wear. Tarun Tahiliani believes the brides of today picture their weddings to be a celebration of their individual personalities. The days of big fat weddings though, have come to a halt. People now believe in tying the knot in intimate settings, where the spotlight is on the little details. Brides now focus on the quality of what they would wear, how comfortable it is and how in-sync with the setting the colors and prints of their outfits are. Timelessness thus offers them the chance to flaunt the most lightweight yet elegant ensembles, made specially for the bright sunny outdoors.
