With the fashion cycle preparing to turn once more, attention shifts to Milan as the menswear calendar approaches its next chapter. As the industry looks ahead to the Fall/Winter 2026–27 season, focus naturally returns to the designers who have consistently shaped the language of menswear over time. Among them, Ralph Lauren stands resolute, defined by a design ethos rooted in restraint, refinement and enduring appeal.
With Milan Fashion Week Men’s Fall/Winter 2026-27 scheduled to take place from 16 to 19 January 2026, it feels only fitting to revisit one of last year’s most quietly powerful moments: Ralph Lauren’s return to Milan in 2025. In a calendar dominated by European heritage houses, the American luxury label carved out a distinct space of its own, proving that timeless design can still command attention without the theatrics.

Marking an epochal event in the transatlantic sartorial history, the luxury maison brought America’s design sensibilities to the forefront of European craftsmanship. Inspired by the serenity of Cannes, Ralph Lauren presented its Purple Label Spring 2025 Men’s Collection at Palazzo Ralph Lauren, nestled in the heart of Milan. Departing from the traditional runway format, the collection was unveiled as an intimate showcase.
The showcase leaned into something that Ralph Lauren does best: precise tailoring, understated luxury, and a wardrobe conceived for the modern man. Anchored in nautical references, the lineup featured immaculate blazers, refined linen field jackets accented with
Breton stripes, and a navy terry blazer with crisp white piping, styled with white trousers and espadrilles. These sat alongside double-breasted shawl-collar blazers and structured field jackets.

The palette stayed rooted in understated sophistication – soft neutrals, nautical blues, and sun-washed tones – while fabrics such as linen, cotton and lightweight wool ensured the collection felt both seasonally attuned and eminently wearable.

The house’s Fall/Winter collection was grounded in tactile luxury, articulating a seamless interplay of rugged warmth, refined tailoring and contemporary elegance. Drawing inspiration from the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina, the collection unfolded as a journey – from alpine adventures to black-tie settings.
Daywear embraced a mood of rustic sophistication, with alpaca hunting coats, cashmere-lined puffer vests, and sports jackets patterned in horse-blanket checks. As the focus shifted to evening, the palette grew more polished: whip-stitched suede tailoring, richly textured jacquard dinner jackets, chunky hand-knit sweaters, zippered cotton-cashmere trousers, and crisp Sea Island cotton shirts, finished with statement belts.

With Milan Fashion Week approaching, attention turns to how Ralph Lauren will once again articulate their vision of modern menswear. If recent collections are any indication, the house is set to continue its emphasis on storytelling through craftsmanship – executed the Italian way. Expect pieces that speak without excess, suiting that feels both modern and timeless, and a seamless dialogue between American ease and Italian refinement.
