Movies & Shows on Netflix to binge watch this season

It’s summertime, what better time to catch up on the shows and movies that you never got around to watching?

Here’s a list of our favorites that get us inspired!

The Netflix Original movie follows an ambitious journalist, who is sent into a palace to investigate the story of a bad-boy crown prince. This is one of those hilariously ‘bad movies’, that you just can’t miss. It’s the best nonsensical movie you can watch to have a few laughs and get yourself in a happy mood. If escapist art is what you crave, The Christmas Prince will not disappoint you.

Love is a romantic comedy with a unique take at relationships in the new-age world. It brings up conversations about issues faced by the millennials, the travesty that is the internet and dating while going through all of this.

Gillian Jacobs who plays Mickey, is a great actor, dresses in a variety of ‘Cool girl’ outfits and comes across as a classy real person.  The show consists of perfect moments of dry humour that don’t seem to come by these days.

All in all, it’s a hilarious show, that will also make you cry at times, get real with your emotions and also confuse you about your relationships.

With tons of family drama that is as funny as it is emotional, Gilmore Girls makes you laugh and cry and also inspires you. The characters are eccentric, there is a multitude of rapid conversations, an abundance of pop culture references and a whole lot of heart in the show, that will take you on a roller coaster ride. Another fun part is to spot a number of famous faces throughout.

This is a show everyone will instantly get attached to. And it’s perfect for the for those who are looking to be inspired by life.

Based on the popular young adult novel by Jenny Han, this Netflix original tells the tale of a sensible and reserved high school girl whose life is turned upside down when the secret love letters she wrote to her crushes that were never supposed to leave her hat box, found their way into the hands of the boys they’re about.

The movie takes us through a series of events that include subterfuge, doubt, heartbreak, sisterhood, self-discovery and, of course, true love. This is a sweet film, you would love to watch on a girls night.

A slice-of-life story, Little Things follows an everyday couple, who navigate the complicated world of relationships, careers, and ambitions in the fast-paced world we live in while continuously cherishing the little things that make life beautiful.

Searching for their own individualities and dealing with their personal problems, while also trying to maintain a mature relationship, this series is relevant and easy to connect to. The bittersweet series strikes a chord between the realities of today’s world and the joy of doing little things with your partner that make you feel comfortable and happy.

There you have it! A list of heartwarming movies and series on Netflix to watch this summer. Time to get yourself a cup of hot coffee, some binge-worthy food, gather your friends and family, sink into your couch and ve inspired and joyful.
