Highlights from a pop-up featuring Tara & I and Bansri

To make chic new additions in your summer wardrobe, The Stylist hosted a special pop-up with Tara & I, a pret womenswear label and a contemporary jewellery brand- Bansri on the 25th of April.  Bringing together two creative brands to compliment each other, the event was a celebration of fashion and design.

Label Tara & I by Reshma Dalal presented their SS19 collection of dresses, skirts and tops in pure silk. Reshma told us “The inspiration for this collection came from the rolling hills of Tuscany. Picture the oat and honeycomb colours of wheat fields extending out into the distance; or the spectrum of greens that you might find in its verdant gardens. From the flowers that burst out in full summer bloom to the clear blue skies of Tuscany, the collection features elements of it all.”

The versatile pieces of this collection are enhanced by subtle design details, making comfortable, yet flattering essentials for your wardrobe this season. When asked about the aesthetic and USP of the label, Reshma said “I always try and use natural fabrics as much as possible! The idea is to create a wardrobe with versatile outfits that will last long. So by using natural and pure fabrics, we assure you a Tara & I outfit will last for years to come. Since versatility is a key element for me, in this collection, we have played with a fresh colour palette, and have designed silhouettes that one can wear day to night.”

To complement the beautiful and elegant outfits by Tara & I, Bansri showcased Resort Jewellery including the ‘Hexacon’ collection featuring daintily crafted chokers, pendants and statement earrings. The collection features lustrous hexagon motifs with resin-filled accents to create sophisticated pieces for dawn to dusk look.

“To me, comfort is paramount and what better than a form of wearable art that you’re most comfortable in! There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing the contemporary woman express herself with aesthetic pieces that best describe her personality and put a smile on her face!” – Bansri Mehta

Being an avid traveller and an art lover, Bansri’s visual perception and interpretation of flora, fauna and fantasies, is what translates into exquisite bijoux. Speaking about her signature collection she says she loves exploring materials and designs pieces that can be stacked and layered.

The pop-up proved to be a moving and powerful experience.
