Dhruv Kapoor at Milan Fashion Week 2024

If understated charm was a knack, Dhruv Kapoor surely knows how to ace it. He made the country proud by being the first Indian menswear designer to attend Milan Fashion Week in June 2022 and has made a dynamic comeback this year with his Spring/Summer ’25 collection. The creations were a perfect amalgamation of fearless self-expression with a mature essence. Composing a symphony of eye-catching prints, denim, laces, and bling, the designer proved that the style lies in the simplest elements.

When Dhruv Kapoor started the eponymous label in 2013, his innovative and irresistible designs caught the attention of fashion mavens and the audience.  After his grand debut at the Lakmé Fashion Week in 2014, bagging the Young Designer Award by Camera Della Moda in 2019, and showcasing his collection at the prestigious Milan Fashion Week 2024, Dhruv Kapoor has created a space for himself and his brand in the global fashion realm.

Apart from India’s Dhruv Kapoor, Milan Fashion Week, held between June 14th to 18th, showcased some of the industry’s big names, including Giorgio Armani, Moschino, Prada, Dolce & Gabanna, Gucci, and more. Kapoor’s show also witnessed some remarkable figures in the front row, including Kelly Rutherford, Jameela Jamil, and James Blake, who extended their support to the fashion designer.

For his Spring/Summer ’25 Co-Ed show, the fashion maven revived nostalgic memories of childhood, capturing the essence of innocence through youthful details. Kapoor’s vision was to showcase a harmony between free-spirited flair and form, seamlessly blending diverse aesthetics in his creations. Every piece from the Delhi-based designer’s collection weaved together modern and classic elements, exuding a sense of purity and innocence.

Dhruv Kapoor integrated sharp tailoring with a playful mix of fabrics infused with vibrant colours and prints, grasping the audience with its minimalistic approach. The collection featured co-ord sets, jackets, trench coats, denim pants, dresses, skirts, shorts and much more. Through his array of unpredictable designs, the designer reimagined classic fabrics to fit contemporary times while keeping the vintage element intact.

The eminent fashion week might have come to a stylish end, but the Indian fashion connoisseur has left a lasting impression with his fluid creations. With his boundary-pushing designs, Kapoor joined the list of the likes of Sabyasachi, Rahul Mishra, and Gaurav Gupta, who have made a mark on the global level.
