10 Fashion Movie Quotes We Love

Some movies hit close to home! There’s a lot you can learn about life from movies. We are obviously obsessed with everything fashion and style. From Breakfast At Tiffany’s to The Devil Wears Prada, movies have given us some of the greatest inspirations, life lessons and style rules. We’ve taken fashion lessons from Miranda Priestly, inherited passion from Holly Golightly, tried curating our wardrobe like Carrie Bradshaw and learnt a way of living by Andrea Sachs. Somehow, they put our thoughts into simply formed sentences. It’s like they get us!

We’ve been engulfed in their world to the extent of believing it’s ours. With the conversations about fashion and style changing every day, some words by these characters will always remain true. Here are some of our favourite inspiring fashion quotes from movies we relate to the most.

“I may be a beginner at some things, but I’ve got a black belt in shopping.”

Phyllis Nefler,  Troop Beverly Hills

#UsToo

“I’ll stop wearing black when they make a darker colour.”

Wednesday Addams, The Addams Family

Because it is a way of life!

“On Wednesdays, we wear pink.”

Karen Smith,  Mean Girls

For many of us, this became a real-life recurrence.

“I will never be the woman with the perfect hair, who can wear white and not spill on it.”

Carrie Bradshaw, Sex And The City

Truer words were never spoken

“You know that thing when you see someone cute and he smiles and your heart kind of goes like warm butter sliding down hot toast? Well, that’s what it’s like when I see a store. Only it’s better.”

Becky Bloomwood, Confessions of a Shopaholic

Yes, the world does get better when we shop!

“If I could find a real-life place that’d make me feel like Tiffany’s, then – then I’d buy some furniture and give the cat a name!”

Holly Golightly,  Breakfast at Tiffany’s

We’ll believe anything Audrey Hepburn says.

“They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.”

Carrie Bradshaw, Sex And The City

One of the biggest lessons.

“Fashion is not about utility. An accessory is merely a piece of iconography used to express individual identity”

Doug, The Devil Wears Prada

#Wisdom

“Should we get you a diamond? No. No. Just get me a really big closet.”

Big & Carrie Bradshaw, Sex And The City

A very important conversation.

Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.”

Miranda Priestly, The Devil Wears Prada

Her voice plays in our head, every day.
