Threads of Luxury : Linen Bloom

Discovering the art of minimal craftsmanship with the label’s hero fabric – pure & dreamy linen!

In a fashionscape brimming with glamorous textiles and high-shine embroideries, Linen Bloom has established itself as a brand that operates on elegant minimalism. As the label steps into its fifth year, we dive into the intricacies behind crafting clothing that reigns supreme in quality and is extremely fuss-free!

FL: Can you share the inspiring story behind the inception of your luxury prêt brand?

LB: Linen Bloom’s journey started in May 2019 with the vision of creating garments with longer shelf lives. We wanted to take from nature’s resources while also giving it back in the form of sustainable clothing. From the very inception of Linen Bloom, we have crafted breathable clothes using the purest of linens that balance all-day comfort and sensational style. Linen Bloom’s eco-friendly ensembles are made for all occasions, whether it is a business meeting or a Sunday brunch, making our designs versatile and trans-seasonal.

FL: How do you explore and experiment with different design elements and techniques to bring out the best in 100% linen garments in your collections?

LB: Well this is where the actual fun begins in the testing phase! Many might not know that we source our yarns from Belgium. They are then distributed amongst various mills across India to be spun into pure linen fabrics. During this stage, the raw textiles are washed and treated with our secret formula to get that signature super soft hand feel. These washes also ensure that the fabric does not shrink once the final product is made. If a particular design needs dyeing, it is done before washing, guaranteeing the garments bleed no colour.

FL: The brand’s identity is closely tied to nature. How do you approach the creative process to ensure that each piece is uniquely representative of your brand?

LB: Linen – the hero element of our brand – is a phenomenal gift from nature, and we make sure that we make the best use of it. Our brand ethos has a deep connection with nature, and that is evident in all our designs that are inspired by its elements like the flora and fauna. We try to display these exquisite aspects of the environment on our clothing through meticulous designing – whether it is hand-painted flowers or embroidered animals. At the same time, we do not want to overpower linen’s natural beauty with maximalist designs, which is why all our pieces are minimalistic yet statement making. Linen Bloom’s overall aesthetic lies in simplicity, evident in the free spirited, relaxed ensembles. Our designs across all categories feature a sense of easy elegance, balancing both comfort and style.

FL: Could you talk a bit about your latest Spring/Summer ’24 collection?

LB: Linen Bloom’s spring/summer ’24 collection – Amour – is all about love. This is an ode to our clients who have immensely supported us throughout the years. We are a client-based brand and whatever we make, it reflects their preferences and tastes. Our first drop of the year is a nod to this emotion, featuring pastel colours and delicate embroideries. The silhouettes are relaxed yet striking, making them perfect for humid soirées.
