Masaba X Game of Thrones: An ode to the kingdom of Winterfell

“Game of Thrones will go down in history as one of the most legendary shows ever created; it’s dauntless canvas and scale of imagination & storytelling intrigued me to take something from this saga & paint a larger than life picture for the audience to keep with them forever”- Masaba Gupta

After 8 fascinating seasons, the greatest shows of our times- ‘Game of Thrones’ came to an end! We will never forget the unexpected and thrilling adventures it took us on and no one can deny the impact it has had on our lives. We grew up with Dany’s dragons, hit the road with Arya and the Hound, fought the battle of Winterfell and fell in love with Jaime Lannister. The journey has come to a conclusion but it made its way into the hearts of millions and will inevitably be watched by generations ahead.

Just like all of us, Masaba is a diehard fan of the show and her latest collection proves this. In the world of fashion, where inspiration can come from anywhere, Masaba has once again gone ahead and beyond!

The Masaba x Game of Thrones collection is an ode to the magnanimous show and is centred around the Stark family of the North. Capturing the spirit of the show and the characters, the collection is an amalgamation of medieval and modern aesthetics with a contemporary take on the fantasy opulence. The theme of the show comes across through prints and elements that remind us of the throne, the sigils, quotes and phrases and the essence of the show: Winter.

Representing Winterfell through the rendition of trees, the Ravens and dire wolves, the collection is designed for both men and women. The colour palette of the collection is Black and white with hints of red that goes with the labels aesthetic. The collection includes silhouettes with fuss-free constructions, that are extremely comfortable and age versatile and can be worn around the world. And that’s not all! Masaba has also created a jewellery line. Inspired by the spectacular gardens, medieval palaces & diabolical war, this collection is dominated by elements like the kingdom’s sigils, filigree leaves and armours that make the collection stand out.

Game of Thrones created a mythical world that had us emotionally invested in it and allowed us a little escape from reality. Keeping the magic alive, Masaba’s collection inspired by the show reminds us of the charm; and will be cherished by every ‘Game of Thrones’ fan.

“The past is gone for good. You can sit here mourning its departure, or prepare for the future.” – Petyr Baelish
