Here’s What Ambanis and Merchants Wore at Anant and Radhika’s Wedding!

After the extravagant pre-wedding festivities in March and May, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant finally tied the knot, following other ceremonies over the weekend. The event spanned 3 days, from the 12th to the 14th of July, at the Ambanis’ private residence, Antilia and Jio World Convention Centre. It goes without saying that the Ambani-Merchant nuptial was the wedding of the year and will be talked about for its grandeur and extravagance.

From world-renowned stars like Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas to eminent sports personalities, Indian and international politicians, bureaucrats and spiritual leaders, every noteworthy personality was there to celebrate the newlyweds. The wedding created a sensation across social media platforms for its over-the-top showcase of Indian culture and exquisite display of homegrown fashion.

The Ambanis and Merchants caused a stir with every ensemble they wore throughout these 3-day festivities. From timeless pieces narrating a tale of tradition to the most eye-catching heritage-infused jewellery that exuded extravagance, the bride, groom and their families turned heads at every function leading up to the big moment. Here’s a list of what the Ambanis and Merchants wore for the wedding of the year.

Radhika Merchant

The gleaming bride adorned a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for her special moment and amplified the look with heirloom jewellery. For her Vidai, Merchant opted for a custom Manish Malhotra ensemble that paid an ode to age-old artistry and textiles. The next day, she adorned an exuberant silhouette by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for the Subh Aashirwad ceremony, a perfect exemplification of art and fashion in one frame. One of the most talked-about looks from the celebration was the bride’s Dolce & Gabanna Alta Moda Sardegna 2024 corset and Anamika Khanna couture saree, which she wore at the reception.

Anant Ambani

Anant Ambani took his baraat to bring his bride home in a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla sherwani. Later, for the Jai Mala, he opted for a custom Sabyasachi sherwani, complemented with a custom Panthere De Cartier Brooch and layered emerald necklace. As the wedding ritual progressed, Anant opted for an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla dapper gold sherwani. During the Vidai ceremony, the groom wore a bright red sherwani by Sabyasachi to match his bride’s outfit. He paired it with a set of ruby and diamond studded buttons and a diamond-encrusted brooch. The following day, Anant Ambani appeared in a majestic red sherwani intricately adorned with gold embroidery by Manish Malhotra, perfectly complemented by an exquisite Lord Shreenath ji Brooch at the Shubh Ashirwad ceremony.

Nita Ambani

The groom’s mother, Nita Ambani, showcased her fashion prowess and her love for time-honoured craftsmanship during the wedding. She adorned herself in stunning creations by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for the baraat, wedding, and Shubh Ashirwad ceremony. For the couple’s reception, she radiated elegance in a regal saree designed by none other than Manish Malhotra.

Isha Ambani Piramal

The groom’s sister captivated everyone with her exceptional fashion choices and over-the-top aesthetics. At the baraat, she wore a fabulous outfit crafted by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and continued wearing awe-inspiring masterpieces by Manish Malhotra for the wedding and Shubh Ashirwad ceremony. She graced her brother’s reception in an exquisite lehenga designed by the renowned Sabyasachi, ensuring all eyes were on her throughout the event.

Shloka Mehta Ambani

Shloka Mehta Ambani graced most of the festivities with creations made by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. But for the Shubh Ashirwad ceremony, she handpicked an archival Manish Malhotra ensemble, highlighting India’s rich textile heritage.

Akash Ambani

The groom’s elder brother exuded class and sophistication at the baraat and the wedding, donning majestic sherwanis by Raghavendra Rathore. Akash Ambani was seen in a printed bandhgala sherwani and dhoti by Anamika Khanna for the Shubh Ashirwad ceremony and a charming coral-red bundi set from Shantanu Goenka for the reception.
