Fashion Moments We Loved at Lakmē Fashion Week 2025

From 26th to 30th March, the prestigious Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI was solely in the spotlight for its extravagant showcase of the finest in fashion. From renowned labels to rising stars and everything in between, the fashion week was a grand celebration of glamour, innovation and exquisite craftsmanship. Every collection on the runway captured the brand’s signature essence, which flawlessly aligned with the spirits of the upcoming season. While the spectacular event spanned five days, we are far from moving on. Here’s our curated round-up of the standout collections that made waves on social media while embodying timeless appeal and innovation.

RKive City

Fashion should be both sustainable and regenerative, and with this belief,
Lakmē Fashion Week 2025 hosted the R|Elan Circular Design Challenge (CDC) 2024, where emerging designers reimagined fashion using waste as a resource. Winning the challenge, RKive City presented their unique collection, Reclaim The City, which celebrated the revival of memories, where playing with different textures, fabrics and detailing came together to create a seamless fusion of past and future.

Roy Calcutta

Roy Calcutta by Abhisek Roy brought Bengal’s opulent aristocracy to the forefront at fashion week, highlighting the grandeur of the Nawabs of Bengal. Classic silhouettes like velvet kurtas, cotton dhotis, and embroidered shawls adorned with the timelessness of Zardosi and Jamdani motifs, captured the region’s rich heritage.

Mohammed Mazhar

Think of Indian fashion, and you will be instantly reminded of luxurious fabrics, extravagant craftsmanship, and timeless weaves. But have you ever thought of wood as a part of fashion? That’s what Mohammed Mazhar introduced on the runway. Titled Zilla Saharanpur, this collection showcases the refined artistry of woodcarving that defines his hometown, turning local tradition into high fashion. Be it Shilpa Shetty’s much-talked-about blouse or accessories echoing vintage elegance, every element narrated a heartwarming tale of homecoming through fashion.

Ka-Sha

Fashion is deeply personal, a beautiful form of self-expression that’s unique to every individual. Ka-Sha’s collection, Samantar II, embraces this spirit through a journey of self-exploration and sustainability. From geometric prints to nature-inspired motifs, the designer experimented with numerous patterns on Khadi, creating outfits that speak to today’s sensibilities.

Namrata Joshipura

Athleisure has firmly made its place in everyday fashion, and Namrata Joshipura delivered a collection that perfectly caters to both fashion and functionality. Created for the women of today, her range includes a variety of versatile essentials like bodysuits, puffer jackets, shorts, skirts, tees and more to count. Nothing captured the essence of the collection better than Malaika Arora’s all-black ensemble that combined practicality with high-octane style.

Amit Aggarwal

Master couturier known to balance futuristic elements with traditional craftsmanship, Amit Aggarwal, unveiled his prêt collection, Aged Anew, at fashion week. His work is a compelling example of how fashion and technology can seamlessly coexist and still create bold, trailblazing pieces for the modern, trend-savvy generation.

Saasha & Kinni

Summer isn’t just about ready-to-wear staples and festive fits; it’s also the time to revive your getaway wardrobe. For those seeking vibrant and eye-catching, Saaksha & Kinni’s The Sunstopper Party is a perfect match for the sun-kissed season. Whether it’s breezy dresses, flowy kaftans, stylish jackets or chic swimwear, their collection is an ideal mix of colour and comfort for your vacation closet.

Shivan & Narresh

Adding to the season’s flair, Shivan & Narresh brought an effortlessly chic summer collection at the Lakmē Fashion Week 2025 runway. Inspired by the French artist Fernand Léger, the outfits revive the painter’s signature print LégerLeisure, demonstrating how two different aesthetics can come together as a work of art. Want all eyes on you? This collection delivers exactly that.

S&N by Shantnu Nikhil

Designer duo Shantnu & Nikhil celebrated five years of their prestige-pret brand, S & N by Shantnu & Nikhil, with their latest assemblage, Piazza Nova. From precision-cut suits to modernised waistcoats, the outfits blend various elements of style that bring a fresh edge to their menswear collection.

Rahul Mishra

Closing on a high note, the internationally acclaimed designer, Rahul Mishra’s pret label AFEW, brought his dreamy collection to the show, which was inspired by the French artist Henri Rousseau. Infusing art, craftsmanship, textiles, and detailing, the designer culminated a collection that was deeply emotive and elegant at the same time.
